TO cast and writing staff, take note!

Remember when Caroline’s dad died? Remember when Bill Forbes refused to complete transition? He decided to die instead of turn into a vampire. He was so against becoming what his own daughter is and his love for her wasn’t enough to make him put aside his prejudices and live for her. Do you remember when Klaus tired to comfort her at the Mikaelson ball? Caroline refused his concern. She didn’t need his comfort, sympathy or pity. She didn’t need him. There’s a level of maturity, strength and independence that was highlighted in tonight’s episode of TO… in that these are qualities that Cami lacks.

People often want to compare Cami and Caroline… their similarity in appearance, similar scenes with Klaus. Well how about we compare the actual fundamental character and personalities of both girls. Cami is older than Caroline, from a show that has been dubbed more mature and darker than TVD. Yet Cami was not only unable to accept the reality of her uncle’s death but tried to cheat death. Cami subjected Father Kieran to immeasurable torture, by administering shock treatments. Then when that failed, she asked Klaus to turn him into a vampire, going against the very fibre of who Father Kieran is as a priest. On tonight’s episode Cami didn’t do what she could to save her uncle. No. She did what she did out of purely selfish reasons, because she was too weak to accept Father Kieran’s circumstances.

Then people want to say that Caroline is immature and won’t fit into TO. Well tonight’s episode proves that Caroline would fit in a lot better than Cami at least. And to top it all off, Cami has a psych degree. Cami a self proclaimed better understand of human emotions because of her major, going so far as to try to figure out Klaus often enough. Yet, with her own uncle, Cami was unable to simply respect her uncle’s best wishes and do what was right for him. Suffice it to say that Caroline’s a lot better at figuring people out than Cami can ever hope to. Because despite Cami’s education, Caroline has something Cami doesnt… intuition and perceptiveness.

Tonight’s episode of Klaus and Cami bonding over Father Kieran’s suffering, actually made me sick. It made me sick that people would ever compare Cami to Caroline, because in my opinion both girls are worlds apart. There is something fundamentally fierce about Caroline. Klaus calls her “full of light.” But what I see is a blazing inferno. There is never ending, unwavering strength, loyalty, determination, independence and confidence. Caroline Forbes is a force to be reckoned with. She is not weak. And she never would have needed Klaus, the way Cami seemed to need him. Because Caroline Forbes doesn’t need anyone. And that’s exactly why Klaus needs her. Caroline is Klaus’ Queen.

8,864 Klaroline tweets tonight (and counting), versus the 79 Klamille tweets. And wait, didn’t this episode have a lot of “cute” scenes between them? And isn’t Klaroline “over” and on different shows/no scenes together atm? Whoops!
